Project idea

Future technologies and innovative approaches are to be promoted in areas including geothermy, biomass, adaptation and the energy carriers hydrogen and solar energy and to be implemented on the basis of practical measures. Bottrop here has an outstanding starting situation. The close coexistence of hydrogen producers (Emscher Genossenschaft (cooperative), Prosper coking-oven plant ), an existing supraregional hydrogen pipeline (company of Air Liquide), three H2 sources on an area of  4 km² as well as potential users (living, trades, mobility) opens up great potential. The basic infrastructural conditions of 14 hectare large area situated in the southern part of the city are characterised by the traffic links to the B 224 and the planned extension of the B 224 to the A52.
